As I write this, I am due to attend the Broad Street Ward Club Carol Service this evening - my last event for the year. What a year it has been and what a last three months as Master.

We held a very convivial and enjoyable Liveryman’s lunch last week - the first of two planned for my year.  It is very important that we deliver a positive experience to all our membership and the Liveryman’s lunches are intended, in a spirit of fellowship, to provide a focus for our most senior members and provide them with an opportunity to voice their views on the direction of the Company.

We also shared our Carol Service celebrations with the Furnituremakers at St Mary Le Bow church.  The choir sang beautifully, the congregation lustily and our Hon Chaplain, George Bush gave us food for thought from the pulpit (particularly on the position of Brussell Sprouts after Brexit) - It was a lovely service.

I have had the pleasure of attending a significant number of events on behalf of the Company.  Some associated with our being the Mother Livery Company of the Lord Mayor.  I am delighted to say that our profile is rising and our standing is strong amongst our fellow Livery Companies.

I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

Master
