Former Barclays Chairman becomes WCIB Liveryman 28th May 2019

It was with enormous pleasure that John Mcfarlane, former Chairman of Barclays, became a Liveryman of the WCIB on 28th May 2019 in the presence of the Master, Mark Sismey-Durrant, Junior Warden, Deputy John Bennett MBE and the Clerk, Nicholas Westgarth. The Master commented “John has been a major player in the banking industry over many years and is an outstanding leader of his generation. We are delighted to have him as a Liveryman of our Company”
