The Company was very well represented at the Cass Business School M&A and PE Society’s Lecture on Tuesday 18th June where the theme of the evening was “How Tech Companies Are Disrupting Corporate Finance”.  A great audience of 135 from Cass, WCIB and other interested parties heard fascinating presentations and a panel session followed by a lively Q & A session.

The Lord Mayor and Immediate Past Master, Alderman Peter Estlin, spoke with great insight into the success of British Fin-tech companies and why London has become one of the main global hubs for Fin-techs worldwide.

The Master, Mark Sismey-Durrant, followed with his thoughts particularly on how Fin-techs could, and should, encourage investments from Private Equity firms.

A lively round of Q&A followed before a fascinating panel discussion with panellists from both academic and professional backgrounds including the Company’s own Past Master Professor Michael Llewelyn-Jones.

Thanks to Szilard Farkasdi, Tim Jones and Omiros Sarikas for the pictures and story, there is further information about the event on the Cass Business School website: https://www.cass.city.ac.uk/news/2019/july/student-conference-shines-a-light-on-technology-and-finance
