On 4th April 2019 the Master and the Clerk attended the annual Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch at the City of London Guildhall in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund which the Worshipful Company of International Bankers supports every year.  Over 12 years the event has raised £2.1 million uniting the City of London to show support for members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and Veterans through the three National Service Charities; ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.  On 16th May 2019 it was announced that the Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch 2019 had raised £250,000.

The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch will link with the Civic and Mayoral theme of employment and employability and will fund, as part of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity grant-giving, up to 18 veterans on a six-month long Pain Management Programme specifically for veterans in each of the next three years.
