The WCIB makes grants annually to charitable causes. Most of the grants go to long term relationship schools, universities and charities with ongoing programmes.
Additionally, the WCIB seeks to develop new relationships with charities operating in areas that meet our aims. Typical donations and awards to new charities normally start with up to £1000, but larger awards are considered when funding can make a clear difference in accordance with Company aims.
The purpose and aims for our charitable donations is to support
• Charities working with young people in: education, financial literacy, employability, raising aspirations for education and employability,
• Disadvantaged individuals for a clear purpose and measurable impact.
• City of London and financial services linked charitable initiatives.
