Sir Michael Craig-Martin exhibition at the Royal Academy

Come and join us for an evening of art and good conversation with fellow WCIB members at the Royal Academy on Friday 15 November.

Sir Michael Craig-Martin exhibition at the Royal Academy

Meet first for a drink at 6pm in the Academicians' Room in the Royal Academy, a beautiful space which is a private members club in Keeper's House. Then head through a 'secret' door to the main galleries to see the current main exhibition of Royal Academician Sir Michael Craig-Martin, which is a retrospective of his 60-year career.

Since coming to prominence in the late 60s, he has moved between sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, prints and digital works, creating a body of work that has fused elements from pop, minimalism and conceptual art. A key figure in British art, Michael Craig-Martin is one of the most influential artists and teachers of his generation and this is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of his work ever held in the UK.

You buy tickets for the exhibition in advance online https://my.royalacademy.org.uk/events/ex-michael-craig-martin?view=calendar or at the door (£22 - 24.50) and, of course, if you are a Friend, do bring your membership card for free entry. Drinks in the Academicians' Room will be on a cash bar basis with complimentary water and nibbles.

Please register your interest by clicking on the 'Get tickets' button above. This is so we know who is coming as we are limited to a group of 30 people. Any questions, please contact Liveryman Geraldine Kelly on geraldine@geraldinekelly.com (NOT THE CLERK).
